Short breaks and changeover days

Changeover days are Fridays and Mondays. 3 nights (Fri/Sat/Sun) long week end and 4 nights (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs) mid week are available (except school holiday weeks where only full week bookings will be taken).

Please note. We sometimes get requests for 2 night weekend breaks (Fri and Sat) but in reality the cottage is still required for the whole weekend as guests do not want to leave first thing Sunday morning but use the cottage during Sunday and leave Sunday evening. In this instance the 3 night price will still apply.

During school holidays the changeover day will be Friday except during the Christmas period - see below.

Christmas and New Year 2010/2011

Christmas week will be Mon 20th Dec-Mon 27th and New Year week will be Mon 27th Dec - Mon 3rd Jan.

Payment

A deposit of 40% is payable if the booking is made more than 6 weeks in advance. The booking confirmation will detail the amount due. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the holiday. Bookings made within 6 weeks will require payment in full.

Cancellation

If you have to cancel the booking you will lose your deposit. If you have to cancel within 6 weeks of your arrival you may have to pay the full cost of your holiday. However, we shall make every effort to re-let which if we are successful you will receive a refund less 20% admin fee.

Booking Procedure

Once a provisional booking is received you will be sent a booking form. This will give full details of the booking including the payment due. The booking will be confirmed by email upon receipt of deposit and booking form.

We reserve the right to cancel your booking your booking at any time if the house is subject to circumstances beyond our control before you arrive. Under these circumstances you will receive a complete refund.
